ぼくが所属している研究室では，昨年から学会における情報支援というものに取り組んでいる．どの発表を聴講するのかを決めるスケジューリングのために，個人ごとに気になる論文をチェックしてもらい，その結果をもとに推薦をする協調フィルタリングや，さらに一歩踏み外して「知り合い」をチェックしてもらって推薦に生かす，いまから思えば完全にソーシャルネットワーキングサービスの見本みたいなことをやっている．これらのサービスは，グローズドな環境だからできるものではあるのだが，今年度はオープン環境でどこまで支援ができるかという課題を自らに課して「Blog情報支援」というテーマが出てきた．まあぼくもsemblogなるプロジェクトをやっているということで，そろそろアカデミック世界にも何らかのコントリビュートをしないといけないし，タイミングとしてはちょうどよかった．しかししかし，はっきり言ってこれは名前先行で，何をやるかは全然考えられていなかった．だいたい研究者の中で何人がblogをやってるのか．仮にやっていたとして，日常的にコンスタントに書き続けてなんぼのblogと，数日間の会期中に人が何百人か集まってまた解散する学会と，どのようにすり合わせられるのか．悩みに悩んだが，まずはblogの存在を周知できればいいのかなということで，ごくシンプルなアプローチでRNAによるアグリゲーションをメインに据え，あとは各発表に対してエントリを作ってURIを付加し，TrackBackを受けつけるようにした．これで発表へのコメントをblogでやってもらうつもり．さらには他の支援サービスのセンサ情報を自動処理して随時エントリにして垂れ流すという人工無能的なアプローチを試したり，エディタにソーシャルネットワーキングの情報を付加してエントリを書きやすくしたり，というのをテストする．まあ今のところはそんなに多人数が参加するとは思っていないが，来年度に花開けばいいかなあと思っている．とりあえずは6月初頭の学会に向けて，走りながら考え続ける．ちなみにサービスの詳細は こちら ．
